[the shot - isn’t that a pleasant change from those grainy old things - opens up on Isabelle lying on her bed, staring up at the ceiling. At a second glance, her left arm is extended upwards as if she’s trying to reach something. Apparently that is what she’s staring at.

[She then sits up, kicking her legs back over the side of the bed as she glances to the side table where her Dreamberry sits, and picks up something, toying with it just outside the shot.]

Thanks, guys. I really appreciated that reminder.

At least I’ve got my boots and hair back. I think I might have taken someone out if either of those had been gone when we all woke up from that. [she gives the camera a charming grin before clicking the feed off.]

[Desmond can easily guess what she's staring at, though last time he'd seen it was hanging over her heart. He doesn't really know how to feel, or what to say, because what's on her hand is also a reminder for him of a brother he never had, of feelings and relationships that didn't really exist but were so real in his mind that he's still deeply troubled and confused about them.

There's a small, amused smile that doesn't reach his eyes when he finally speaks.]

That, I'd like to see.

[and for Isabelle, it was merely an idea of what might have been if Irial had continued to exist in Somarium. Of course, it took the first time they thought they were natives to the city to get them dating the first time, and that was only after a number of fights.

[But that doesn't change that she misses him and still feels a bizarre sense of loss whenever he comes to mind. She returns his smile with a wide one of her own that actually does reach her eyes - the other thing that the ring in her fingers represented iss right in front of her, and it didn't seem like that had changed much. Pausing just a moment, Izzy wonders if there's a chance for them to keep being as close as they were last week before she replies.]

You would. I don't think the cops would be sympathetic to my pleas, even if they once investigated my murder.

[At her smile, his widens slightly, his eyes lighting up as well. For some reasons, he had expected a rather cold reply, perhaps something filled with regret. But now that Isabelle seems still warm to him, the bartender has to admit that the idea had been stupid. This past week had both shown them that they had a lot more in common than what they thought. He chuckles lightly at her comment]

Well, you could always be discreet about it. That's how true assassins do it.

[if there's one thing Isabelle Lightwood doesn't dwell on, it's regret. She hates the idea of it, figuring that if you have regrets, maybe you should have thought through doing it in the first place.

[The increase in his smile doesn't go unnoticed as she continues to beam at him out of amusement.] Yeah? Back home, I had the glamour to keep me discreet. Here, I actually have to watch my back. It's kind of disconcerting.
