PERSONALITY
abilities and skills.
Isabelle isn’t entirely human: instead, she’s a slightly higher being known as a Shadowhunter, or Nephilim. This means she’s got the blood of the Angel Raziel flowing through her veins, giving her a number of enhanced abilities. First and foremost, it allows her to take on angelic Marks, or runes. These runes can be anything from healing runes to strength or luck runes to virtually anything to be used in combat. They only work on Shadowhunters; if anyone else were to try applying a rune to their skin, they would most likely die. Furthermore, being a Shadowhunter means that Isabelle is basically covered from head to toe in either runes or the scars left behind from those runes. As some runes fade quicker than others and need to be reapplied time and again, there are very few places on her body that aren’t marked with some kind of narrow scar. Her face is one of them, but from about the neck down, it will look like she’s covered in thin, spiralling tattoos to most people. With her, Isabelle will be bringing a wide assortment of weapons, all of which she’d be more than willing to get proper papers for. Primarily, she utilises an electrum whip that she’s very good with, and has been trained with from a young age. When not in use, her whip is glamoured to appear as a silvery snake-like bracelet that circles about halfway up her forearm, but in actuality, the bracelet is actually inked right into her skin, not unlike the rest of her runes. She’s also known to be proficient in the use of daggers and seraph blades - blades that have been named after various angelic beings and used in battle against demons. She also carries with her a stele, which is less of a weapon and more of a Shadowhunter tool, used to draw runes on her skin and the skin of other Shadowhunters. miscellany.

[there's silence for a moment before Isabelle's pleasant voice comes over the network - it starts off as voice-only.]
So. Apparently I've been asleep for a while. Kind of weird, considering that's usually my brothers' domain. Maybe next time I pass out, I should make sure Magnus is asleep too.
[finally, the video clicks on, revealing Isabelle sitting at a vanity desk, brushing her hair in a mirror - the Dreamberry is propped up beside aforementioned mirror, along with a single flower in a small vase. Most distinctive about her since she's woken up? The hot pink streaks now in her hair. If you look closely, you'll notice the small twitch of annoyance at the corner of her mouth.]
So did I miss anything big? Besides me apparently giving someone entertainment for about twenty minutes?

Warnings weird introspection that's bizarrely calming.
Effects a general feeling of calm.
Isabelle reaches out for her Dreamberry, glowing a delicate purple shade before managing to smack it off; the device starts to tumble off her nightstand from the gesture, but she goes on sleeping.

- The room is utterly empty. In fact, if you look closely, it looks like there isn't much of a room at all. Just a large chessboard floating in the middle of the room. At that chessboard sit all three of her brothers, Alec at one side, Jace opposing him, and Max adjacent to both. Isabelle sits facing them, a few feet away, chin in her hands. The boys are playing a game of three-way chess.
"Izzy, it's not that big a deal. Just step back and look at things objectively." Alec, ever the voice of reason. Cool and collected and absolutely unflappable.
Isabelle sighed.
"Do whatever you want. Why does it matter this much?" Jace wasn't allowed to talk. He was head over heels with Clary.
Isabelle huffed, rolling her eyes.
"Why do you always date Downworlders?" Max, too young to really get it.
"Because they're exciting," Isabelle replied, wrapping a lock of her hair around her finger.
And at the table, the chess game goes on.
